Seven Deadly Sins: Cursed By Light: Review
After its release, the movie impressed several people. Viewers were taken aback by the amazing animation and art style that Studio Deen had presented them with. This was especially appreciated during fight scenes which felt extremely smooth, thanks to the extremely well-done animation. Adding on to the visual effects’ awesomeness was the interesting plot. We got a closer look at several characters like the Fairy King Dahlia, the Giants Craftsman Dub, and the Supreme Deity. These fantasy elements gave the movie a good approach and were worth the time invested in it as well.
However, the part of the Seven Deadly Sins movie that intrigued me best would indefinitely be the bond between Zeldris and Meliodas. I feel like their interactions made the movie ten times better, and for every scene after the scene, I kept wanting to see more of them. Zeldris’ role throughout the movie added a certain moe factor, leaving behind cute and fuzzy feelings.
If there was one thing I could point out that was a bit unsettling in the Seven Deadly Sins movie ending, it was how the fight scenes did not feel well choreographed. It seems like the movie underestimated some of its characters and made them look somewhat weak to build drama and tension. While the trick did work, it also left some plot holes.
Despite its shortcomings, the movie was a fairly good addition to the franchise, and we would recommend it to anyone who likes Seven Deadly Sins.
