Serena Chapter 48 will be the latest installment in the Romance Drama Manhwa. The story takes place in the 20th Century in a fictional country called Meuracevia. It follows the life of a young woman who inherited a hotel from her Mother. This hotel has been in the family for the past generations starting with her grandmother. Her Grandmother passed it to her mother and her mother to her.
However, she did not inherit the hotel under pleasant conditions. Her mother passed away before she was able to show her the ropes of Hotel Management. This forced her Grandmother to come out of retirement to run the hostel. However, due to her failing health, she was unable to handle the workload. The girl, Serena Serenity, was forced to go into a marriage of convenience with Eiser Leinz Grayan.
Eiser is business savvy and hence the perfect candidate to run the hotel on behalf of Serena. However, she is not happy with his style of running things. According to Serena, Eiser is changing too much stuff and is also trying to break long-standing Serenity Hotel traditions. Serena believes Eiser is just playing a role in gaining everyone’s trust and one day will hand over her hotel to the Grayan Family.

In the last chapter, we are introduced to a new character, Dia D’Laurent. From the looks of it, Dia is one of Eiser’s Ex-lovers. She addressed Eiser and “Honey” much to his disdain. Their breakup may not have been on the best of terms. Looks like Serena is already aware of her, as she once heard Eiser talk about her when he was drunk. Serena is eavesdropping on their conversion without being seen.
Looks like Dia did something to anger her parents. They sent her abroad to study however, it was just an excuse to have her exiled. But now she has been forgiven and thus was able to return to Meuracevia. Eiser questions her on her motives since he didn’t see her name on the guest list. Turns out it was Serena who invited her. Can’t blame her since she was oblivious to Eiser’s past relationships.
The rest of the House Party goes without a hitch. That was until Dia approached Serena. They exchange pleasantries, and then Dia applauds for organizing such a glamorous House Party and thanks her for inviting her.
She tells Serena that she is here as the representative of the wives of the Banker Herios. She adds that she was abroad for a long time and has no friends in the Kingdom. Looks like Dia wants to form a relationship with Serena. Possible a business one.

In the last chapter, we saw Dia approach Serena and want to talk to her in private. Furthermore, we saw that Eiser was watching them and saw them going to converse in private. He must be curious as to what his former lover and his new wife have to talk about.
Maybe Dia will take this time to clear the air since she used to date Eiser. If not, it might be a business negotiation to do some kind of collaboration with the Lauren Art Gallery. If it’s the latter, Serena will ask her to come to talk to her later. Let’s see what happens.
