This follows the recent casting of the characters Kureha and Hiriluk. Sendhil Ramamurthy is known for his roles in Heroes, Beauty and the Beast, and Covert Affairs.
The show’s second season is expected to cover new locations like Loguetown, Reverse Mountain, Whiskey Peak, Little Garden, and Drum Island.
Nefertari Cobra is described as a key figure in the desert kingdom of Alabasta, known for his strong moral values amidst political turmoil.
The show’s production team includes Matt Owens and Steven Maeda as writers, executive producers, and showrunners, with Eiichiro Oda, the creator of ONE PIECE, also serving as an executive producer.
The first season of the series, which premiered on August 31, achieved significant success by topping Netflix’s global English TV rankings and holding its top spot in the second week.
The second season’s production is expected to take 12 to 18 months following the end of the SAG-AFTRA strike on November 9, 2023.
