TvN’s newest webtoon-based series, See You In My 19th Life, will be coming out with a new episode this week. Said to be based on Lee Hey’s works, the K-drama revolves around Ban Ji-Eum and her extraordinary ability to remember each life she was reincarnated in. In the last few episodes, Moon Seo Ha seems to be forming an attachment with Ji-Eum, but whether he would accept the truth that she’s Ju-won is still a mystery.
This Lee Na Jung-directed series first started airing its episodes on June 17th, 2023. Casting Shin Hye-sun and Ahn Bo-Hyun as the main characters, this drama is a fantasy romance that’ll get you excited for what’s to come next. Just like the webtoon, the characters are well-written and lovable. Following a similar storyline, we see a new generation Ban Ji-Eum working for MI Hotel as a part of the planning team.
With lifetimes of experience, Ban Ji-Eum knows how to get along with people, but when she sees Moon Seo Ha, someone she died protecting and had feelings for in her previous life, she tries to get closer to him in her new 19th reincarnation. Things are easier said than done, as Moon Seo Ha is a tough nut to crack, but that won’t be stopping Ji-Eum this time.
See You In My 19th Life Episode 4 Recap.
In the previous episode, Moon Seo Ha catches Ji-Eum talking to herself, but she brushes it off by saying she was just missing her mom. When she’s asked about how she left her, Ban Ji-Eum just says she was an enemy who was reincarnated as her mom, and she had no choice but to let her live her life.
Seeing the way Ban Ji-Eum always had something wise to say about life, Moon Seo Ha tells her that talking to her was similar to reading an ancient book. While having ramen at a convenience store, the duo Seo Ha and Ji-Eum share a moment of peace and get a chance to know each other better. Moon Seo Ha has a flashback of Yoon Ju-won when spending time with Ji-Eum. Later that night, he realizes that he has developed feelings for Ji-Eum.
The next day, Moon Seo Ha arrives at Ha Do Yoon’s place to talk about the landscaping project. Ban Ji-Eum also shows up on Ko’s behalf and has tea with Ha Do Yoon. Still hungover from the day before, Ha Do Yoon asks if she had asked Ji-Eum to drop her off at her parent’s house, as she never really goes there on her own.
Ji-Eum lies and tries to change the topic, only for Ha Do Yoon to confess she feels like she’s known Ji-Eum for a long time. This catches Ji-Eum off-guard, but Moon Seo Ha shows up and ends the meeting by giving the hotel project to Ha Do Yoon.
Ban Ji-Eum is chased by her brother, who is only money hungry, and when he tries to catch her, Moon Seo Ha confronts him. They later have dinner at a bar, and Moon Seo Ha gets drunk. He starts seeing the similarities between Ban Ji-Eum and Ju-won. Ji-Eum drops him off at his home, but Moon Seo Ha doesn’t let go of her hand as he recalls moments from the accident.
