Secret Playlist is a short Korean drama that premiered on 18th November 2023. The drama will have a total of 8 episodes and will conclude on 9th December 2023. This musical youth drama is just going to be a perfect binge-watch for all Kdrama lovers.
The drama features Kim Hyang Gi in the role of Song Han Ju aka PLII and Shin Hyun Seoung in the role of Lee Do Guk aka Levi, the two main cast. The supporting cast of the drama is also exciting and did a good job. The drama was originally adapted from the popular webtoon “Secret Playlist” by 2F.
Plot
Secret Playlist tells the story of an ordinary 24-year-old university student Han Joo, who is having a troubled life like most of the other university students. She appears as a hardworking job seeker student but in reality, she is a popular Social media singer called PLII with a concealed identity.
Due to her family being against her singing passion, she has been hiding her identity as PLII for a long time from her own family and friends. On the other hand, Do Gook a famous K-pop idol of the group S.E.Z, is a devoted fan of PLII.
However, PLII who is actually Han Joo goes to the same college as Do Gook. On one hand, Do Wook is desperate to investigate the reality of PLII whereas, on the other hand, Han Joo tries to hide her identity as PLII. Can Do Gook discover the real PLII and will Han Joo will get a chance to shine on her own.
Recap
In the previous episodes we see, Han Joo is actually a hardworking job seeker in front of her father and family. But in fact, music is her soul and real identity which gave her the name PLII. Because of past events that happened with her mom related to music, she was restricted from all kinds of music.
On the other, Do Gook aka Levi was forced by his brother who is also the CEO of the company he works under, who start acting as his career. Levi’s dream is to make music and perform like her idol days but since fans do not like his vocals much the company is trying to use his visuals in acting.
Later Levi goes to meet PLII where she works and discovers the guitar of PLII. Levi then goes into an agreement with Han Joo that she has to find him the owner of the guitar so that he can forgive her for the damage to the headphones.
