In the previous chapter of Second Life of a Trash Princess, Regina finally sees a silver lining while she is searching for Theor, who ran away from the Imperial Palace even though he is not allowed to go outside. She uses the Surveillance Knights that act as the eyes of the imperial family to protect them from harm.
Regina knows that one of those guys is probably tailing Theor currently, and she is pretty happy that she can find her brother. Well, the only sad part about this situation is that Regina can only use the knights in a very limited way. They can’t fight or interfere no matter what happens.
Arthur wouldn’t lose in a sword fight since he is strong, but he can’t deal with a magician like Amanda. Plus, she was supposedly a so-called witch-mage who had broken taboos so that anything could happen. Basically, Regina planned to take advantage of the fact that Amanda couldn’t be reckless because of the side effects.
Meanwhile, we see Theor tailing behind a servant girl who had somehow ended up with him. She was also taking him somewhere, but Theor was way too immersed in his thoughts to notice right away. He was thinking of his sister, who had to shoulder a lot of responsibilities from a very young age, and he wanted to be useful for once.
He wanted to relieve Regina from all the pressure, so he ran out of the palace. The servant girl tries to strike up a conversation, telling Theor that Regina was too harsh on him. Her plan to turn Theor against Regina completely backfired since Theor seemed very angry about her words.
