Excited to know when the new episode of the ongoing supernatural young-adult drama series School Spirits will be premiering. The fans eagerly await the release of the latest episode of the supernatural series, and their wait is almost over with the Paramount+ network announcing the release date of the 8th episode.
The first episode of the series premiered on 9 March 2023 and had a run-time of 43 minutes. The audience receives the show well, especially Pyton’s performance as Maddie. The viewers find Peyton’s performance in the paranormal mystery worth watching. The series has managed to be sparky and fun without losing sight of Maddie’s sorrow.

The series plot centers around a young high school girl Maddie who has died of unknown circumstances and turned into a ghost trying to find the cause of her death. Maddie is a sixteen-year-old girl studying at Split River High, is deceased recently, and thus finds herself stuck in the afterlife-limbo. Maddie also discovers she’s trapped in her high school as a ghost with several students who’ve met a similar fate and are stuck in her high school for more than 100 years.
Maddie is the only ghost in her high school who can still communicate with living beings. She uses this ability of hers to her advantage. Maddie is trained by the other ghosts on the basics of living in the afterlife. Maddie goes on a crime-solving journey, but the closer she thinks she is to the truth, the farther she is behind with new secrets and lies discovered. All the ghosts have nothing in common, but they are still together on this journey to discover the truth.

School Spirits Episode 7 Recap
The 7th episode of the series titled “Senance Anything” premiered on April 6, 2023. The episode centers around Maddie further investigating the reason for her death. The episode opens with Simon wondering why Nicole is ignoring him and forgetting to pick him up for school. Nicole claims she has been busy preparing her portfolio, leaving out the fact she was in the woods all alone after the school’s homecoming dance.
Simon also has to go for his interview with Northwestern University, which he sabotages purposefully. Nicole becomes the prime suspect in Maddie’s murder case after Simon notices several photos of Maddie in her college portfolio. At the same time, ghost therapy is going on, and the other ghosts try to help Maddie remember the last thing she did before dying. Charley questions Maddie about the janitor Mr.South, the prime suspect in Maddie’s murder who’s under investigation.
Naddie claims the janitor never did anything to her. Wally decides to use the psych book he found in the library to help Maddie remember the reason for her death. Sandra is confronted by Mr.South when she restocks her alcohol cabinet about never harming Maddie. Sandra escapes, almost killing Mr.South in the process.
Simon confronts Nicole about the reason behind her blackmailing Mr. Anderson, and Nicole reveals she did everything to attend college with Simon and Maddie and that she will never hurt Maddie intentionally.
In the episode, Simon confessed he loved Maddie and sabotaged his interview with the alumni as he wanted to attend the University only for Maddie. The episode ends on a cliffhanger where Sandra becomes the prime suspect of murdering her daughter for money after she is shown hiding an envelope full of cash in Maddie’s drawer.
Also seen, Nicole and Simon go into the woods where she hid the money to retract it and prove Mr.South innocent, only for the cash not to be there anymore. Simon hears someone in the woods and races off to see who it is, and Maddie is seen trying to stop him, but he can’t hear her. Dawn has also crossed the bridge after her seance scene with Maddie, where Maddie tells her it was not her fault and she is a great friend.
School Spirits Episode 8 Preview
The 8th episode will witness Maddie finally accepting she is dead and continuing searching for her killer and the reason behind her murder. Maddie will get together with Wally and tell Simon to move on as after graduation, and they will not be in the same place together.
Currently, Sandra is the prime suspect in killing her daughter for money. Still, maybe in a twist, it will be revealed Claire is the actual murderer as she has a connection and was having an affair with Anderson, which she suspects Maddie knew about. The episode can also witness Maddie finally being at peace with her truth.
