Netflix released a trailer for Samurai Rabbit: The Usagi Chronicles yesterday, as well as the premiere date for this CGI animated series. Rather than following Miyamoto Usagi, the protagonist of the comic books, the series will take place in the far future and follow the young Rabbit Samurai Yuichi Usagi, a descendant of the aforementioned great warrior, on his epic quest to become a real samurai. Let’s take look at the trailer and the plot of Samurai Rabbit: The Usagi Chronicles.
Samurai Rabbit: The Usagi Chronicles, Trailer, and Plot
Usagi is a young rabbit that wants nothing else than to be history’s greatest Samurai. When he arrives in the futuristic metropolis of Neo Edo to discover his fate, he unintentionally unleashes dozens of the strange, ancient monsters known as Yokai. He must now clean up the mess he’s caused with his new buddies Chizu, Gen, and Kitsune. However, the scenario is considerably stranger than they could have anticipated. The animated series Samurai Rabbit: The Usagi Chronicles is full of action, comedy, and great adventure.
The trailer is fantastic. It begins with Yuichi Usagi arriving in town with his small pet T-Rex-like dinosaur. He says that his dream is to be like Miyamoto Usagi and fight Yokai. Then Usagi meets Gen, who is a hippopotamus and a bounty hunter. Also, he encounters Kitsune, a fox with the suitable character of a thief, and her pal Chizu, a cat who is also a thief. In his quest to become like Usagi, he accidentally unleashes a Yokai from a crystal who says that “This world will suffer”.
Yuichi realizes his mistake and realizes he must clean up the mess he has created. He travels to select a weapon that will aid him in defeating the Yokais and will be with him for the rest of his life. Yuichi, rather than a sword, selects a yo-yo comedically. With the help of his new pals Chizu, Gen, and Kitsune, he must stop Yokai and the white cat from taking over New Edo.
