An anime based on the Sakuna: Of Rice and Ruin game is coming in 2024. P.A.Works is making the show, and Naomi Oozora will voice the main character, Princess Sakuna.
The game is a mix of farming and action. It came out in November 2020 for PS4, Switch, and Steam. It was later released on Epic Games Store in 2021. It sold over 1 million copies in 2021.
Princess Sakuna used to live a pampered life in the fancy Mihashira Capital with gods and spirits all around her. But one day, she met some humans on a magical bridge, and things went wrong.
Now, she and the humans find themselves stuck on Hinoe Island, also known as the Isle of Demons. The big boss, Lady Kamuhitsuki, tells Sakuna she needs to make a home there and get rid of all the scary demons.
Even though she’s a goddess, Sakuna still needs to eat! So, she and the humans start learning how to grow rice. It’s the start of their wild adventure on the island.
Follow Princess Sakuna and her human pals as they try to survive, make friends, and maybe find a way back home. Will they conquer the island’s challenges, or will they get stuck forever? Find out in the exciting story of “Sakuna: Princess of Rice Island”.
