Saas, Bahu Aur Flamingo: Story Leading Up to The Ending
When a politician’s young son dies of an accidental cocaine overdose and Rani Ba’s archnemesis Monk tries to take over her drug operation, Rani Ba decides that it is time to name the successor of her drug operation.
She does so by pitting her children and her daughter-in-law to see who can find the best way to resolve the issue. Shanta, who is the producer of Rani Cooperative’s trademark dark, wishes to expand the business by introducing a new drug.
At the same time, she and her adoptive brother Dhiman are in love with one another. Something which could potentially destroy their relationship with Rani Ba.
Meanwhile, Bijlee is having an extra-marital affair with Naina, who tries to persuade her to leave the drug trade, and Bijlee obliges.
On the other hand, we learn about Kajal’s tragic past and about her ill intentions toward Rani Ba, after she takes away Kajal’s child upon birth and leads her to believe that the child is dead.
As the series nears its end, Rani Ba announces that on the auspicious day of Janmashtami, she will reveal her heir.
However, a day before Janmashtami, Rani Ba’s haveli is attacked by Monk, and Rani Ba is kidnapped by Prasoon, a police inspector who wishes to expose Rani Ba’s illegal operation.

Saas, Bahu Aur Flamingo: Ending Explained
In the final episode of Saas, Bahu Aur Flamingo, it is revealed that the car in which Rani Ba is abducted by Prasoon fell into the river. We find Rani Ba’s body soon afterward.
As the family gathers at the haveli for her will to be read after her funeral, Monk ambushes the will-reading, kills the lawyer, and finally takes over Rani Cooperative.
It is revealed that Kajal had double-crossed Rani Ba after Monk told her that her child was still alive and well. Kajal gets the opportunity to kill her abductor, but before she can reunite with her son, Cheema reveals that Rani Ba is alive.
This can only mean that Prasoon didn’t perish either, and this was all an elaborate plan to discover the identity of the mole within Rani Cooperative.
Is Savitri Still Alive?
Before we answer this question, we must ask another question – Who is Savitri? Towards the end of the series, we are introduced to Savitri, a nomadic woman, whose husband is killed for selling drugs, after which she is sexually assaulted by the same group of men, which also includes her acquaintance.
After she exacts her revenge on that man, she goes to his house only to find his wife, dead from starvation, and his son unsupervised. Savitri is none other than Rani Ba, and the child is Dhiman, whom she ultimately adopts.
So, now that that is cleared, let’s answer the first question – Is Savitri still alive? Yes, Savitri or Rani Ba fakes her own death with the help of Prasoon with the hopes of uncovering the identity of the mole within the family, which happened to be Kajal.
However, it left many viewers wondering, what could possibly be Prasoon’s motive for helping Rani Ba. He spent the entire season trying to investigate Rani Cooperatives’ illegal dealings.
So why did he, towards the end of the season, help Rani Ba fake her death? Many viewers have attributed this change of heart to his disillusionment with the establishment. For now, the show ended on a cliffhanger, and hopefully, this plot point will be resolved in the second season.
Who Becomes the Owner of Rani Cooperative?
With Monk ambushing the reading of the will with Rani Ba’s family and then killing the lawyer, it is alluded that he successfully takes over Rani Cooperative.
However, the show ends on a cliffhanger that both Prasoon and Rani Ba are not just alike but are working together. So, who eventually becomes the owner of the cooperative is an ongoing mystery that is hopefully answered in the second season of the show.
