Former SF9 member Rowoon recently opened up about his journey from being an idol to a successful actor during a candid interview on the YouTube talk show, “Jo Hyun Ah’s Thursday Night,” hosted by Urban Zakapa singer Jo Hyun Ah.
During the interview, Rowoon reflected on his decision to transition from being a member of SF9 to pursuing acting as a career. When asked about his transformation into an actor, Rowoon revealed his true emotions behind departing the group.
“There wasn’t a particular person who influenced my decision. It was a personal choice based on my feelings. I found acting to be enjoyable and fulfilling. Despite knowing the risks involved, I felt confident in my decision. We only have one life, and I wanted to take this opportunity to prove myself by working harder,” shared Rowoon.
In September of last year, Rowoon announced his departure from SF9, opting to focus on his acting career under FNC Entertainment. This decision led to a reorganization of SF9 as an 8-member group without Rowoon’s participation in group promotions.
Despite facing criticism and dissatisfaction from some fans, Rowoon remained determined to pursue acting seriously and achieve positive growth in his career. He emphasized his commitment to honing his acting skills and exploring new opportunities in the industry.
Following his departure from SF9, Rowoon’s acting projects, including “The Matchmakers,” received high praise for his improved skills and performance. His success in this role led to another leading role in the upcoming historical drama, “Murky Water,” alongside actress Shin Ye Eun.
