Roc Nation, Jay Z’s entertainment company, promptly addressed speculation regarding the American rapper’s upcoming album in 2024.
Will Jay Z drop fresh tracks this year? Fans eagerly await, but his entertainment company has a different perspective.
Sunday saw social media abuzz with rumors of a potential Jay Z 2024 album in progress. Speculation ignited when director Hidji World, linked with A$AP Rocky’s agency, shared suggestive snapshots on Instagram stories.
Among the pictures, one displayed a white slate board, signaling the imminent release of a new Jay Z album in 2024. The post hinted at director Hidji World working on the rapper’s upcoming music video.
Dated January 28, the slate credited Hidji World as the director and Leroy Farrell as the director of photography.
As discussions intensified, multiple sources reported the matter, prompting Roc Nation to seize control of the narrative.
The Jay Z company swiftly dispelled the rumors, responding to a post on X (formerly Twitter) and asserting, “That’s news to us.” Roc Nation showcased this response on its own X page, effectively shutting down the speculation.
In a prior interview, the Hip-Hop artist underscored his desire to create meaningful music. The Empire State of Mind crooner emphasized the importance of conveying significant messages in his songs, stating, “It has to mean something… It has to mean something to a larger society.”
Following Jay Z’s solo album “4:44” in 2017, he joined forces with Beyoncé under The Carters banner, releasing “Everything is Love” in 2018—the couple’s debut studio album as a duo.
