Earlier this week, Rob Marciano made a significant revelation, announcing his departure from Good Morning America to some extent. Nevertheless, this does not mark a farewell for the 55-year-old weather expert. He is not leaving entirely but rather shifting away from delivering forecasts for GMA Weekends, redirecting his attention to weekdays.
The responsibility for the weekend forecast now falls on the new GMA meteorologist, Somara Theodore. Rob remains an active contributor to weather forecasts on the morning news program GMA and continues to provide his expertise for various ABC reports aired at different times and on different platforms.

Rob is having great family time
During the summer, while appearing on various ABC News programs, Rob prioritized dedicating additional time to his two children as they reached significant milestones. June marked a momentous month for the proud father, as it not only marked his son Mason’s fifth birthday but also saw his daughter graduate from elementary school.
Sharing pictures with his children and his estranged wife, he captioned that Madelyn has successfully completed her elementary school journey, and she is growing up so fast! Well, she is not quite grown yet, but she is certainly on her way there far too swiftly. Rob is immensely proud of her accomplishment and thankful for the wonderful educators who have been part of her journey.
On Mason’s birthday, he posted pictures from the at-home celebration and affectionately wrote, how, from dinosaurs to race cars, Mason’s fourth year of life concluded with a Hot-Wheels-themed weekend birthday party.
It features a spectacular cake made by his cousins, a racetrack-themed tablecloth, a game of pin the wheel on the racecar, a plethora of miniature cars, and an abundance of love and appreciation. This newly turned five-year-old brings warmth to the hearts of everyone he encounters, Rob wrote.
