Rick And Morty Season 7 is about to end this week with its final Episode titled “Fear No Mort.” Looking at the title, I think that Rick is once again going to take Morty on some dangerous and wacky adventure where Morty will once again fear for his life.
Guess what? Rick is once again going to convince Morty with his weird ideology. Morty, being the dumb Morty he is, will get tricked by Rick’s ideology. Even though this sounds repetitive, the adventure is once again going to be unique and fun.
Anyway, Episode 9 was also very fun for me. We saw a Big Foot, Heaven/Valhalla, Jerry disturbing his grandmother in that heaven, and Rick and Morty dying again and again. Then we saw a weird and funny take on the Pope killing Bad people in the name of god. And we saw Rick use a freaking Pokeball in which he stored a Big Foot.
Rick and Morty Season 7 Episode 9 Recap
Before diving into Rick and Morty Season 7 Episode 10, let’s quickly recap and review the previous episode. So Rick convinces Jerry to help him in his experiment, where Jerry has to die repeatedly so that Rick can collect some information on the Afterlife.
When Jerry runs into his grandmother in the sky, I notice that his grandmother looks a lot like Jerry and Jerry’s father, Leonard Smith, leading me to assume that this grandmother is from his father’s side.
Granny Smith then informs Jerry that his constant lack of commitment to death has annoyed his grandfather enough to no longer show up to see him. But before Jerry can explain to his grandmother that his father-in-law is a mad genius, he is brought back to life in a hospital bed by Rick and Morty—a hospital bed designed similar to the one found in the 2017 remake of Flatliners.
With Rick Prime being successfully wiped off his plane of existence, Rick needs to find a whole new reason for living.
And while yes, Rick has been slowly getting his mojo back in the episode since he covered himself in the blood of his mortal enemy, he still feels a massive Diane-sized hole in his life and likely wanted to confirm if she still existed out there somewhere in some capacity after Rick Prime wiped her out of existence on a multiversal scale.
At any rate, this episode is a clear homage to those Flatliners movies. A lot more happened in previous episodes, but now let’s discuss when Episode 10 of Rick and Morty Season 7 will be released and what will happen in it.
