The new promotional material arrives as Subaru Natsuki and his companions continue their dangerous journey through the Auguria Dunes toward the Pleiades Watchtower. Episode 16 continues The Recapture Arc, which follows the events of the Watergate City of Priestella. Subaru and his allies survived that conflict, but Rem remains trapped in an endless sleep because of the Authority of Gluttony, while Crusch has lost her memories and Julius has suffered the loss of his name.
The group’s search for a solution leads them toward Shaula, the mysterious wise man associated with the Pleiades Watchtower. Reaching the tower requires crossing the dangerous Auguria Dunes, where powerful mabeasts and extreme natural hazards await.
The episode also receives additional promotional material through the series’ mini anime, with new preview stills released alongside the main episode images. The full mini anime episode is available through the franchise’s official YouTube channel.
Season 4 is being produced by WHITE FOX, with Masahiro Shinohara directing and Tappei Nagatsuki serving as script supervisor. The main cast includes Yusuke Kobayashi as Subaru, Rie Takahashi as Emilia, Satomi Arai as Beatrice, Rie Murakawa as Ram and Inori Minase as Rem.
