Revenge Law Firm Chapter 9 will be airing next week! In the previous chapter of the Manhwa, we get an insight into Hae Song’s back story and how he came to acquire the name “Yoon Hae Song,” which was previously Hae Wool.
Hae Song realized that his purpose in life was to catch Yang Dagon, his father’s murderer, and make sure he suffered legally. Dagon had tricked Hae Song’s father into getting all the important documents of the company and then killed him after forging the documents to his name.
Dedicated to his revenge plan, Hae Song is seen giving full concentration to his studies and finally getting into Law School, moving a step closer to his plan. The upcoming Chapter 9 will witness Hae Song’s trials and tribulations in the intense atmosphere around other Law aspirants.
Recap
Yoon Hae Song’s mother is seen in court, arguing against the Judge regarding the trials of her husband and Yang Dagon. She told the court that it was possible the documents would have the blood of Dagon during the murder, asking for it to be tested.
The judge dismissed her arguments and told his mother that the DNA analysis had already been taken along with all the necessary tests. Hae Song’s mother is shocked to hear this and feels hopeless when she finds out there’s no trace of Dagon’s blood or DNA on the document.
When they’re back home, Hae Song’s mother cannot stop crying. She quickly tries to gather herself and make food for her child but breaks down even more when she finds out that even their rice has finished. Hae Song goes to console his mom and tells her not to cry.
The two of them embrace each other, and she tells Hae Song of the dirty deed Yang Dagon has committed. Hae Song’s father had handed over the patent he had to his company, thinking it would be safe. He wanted to contribute to the growth of electric cars during its early stages.
However, Yang Dagon claimed to have had the documents transferred, leaving Hae Song’s family with nothing. His mother told him that Dagon most likely forged all the documents. After their conversation, Hae Song sees Dagon on TV as he introduces his father’s project to the world.
Realizing the crimes Dagon committed and how he legally got away with killing his father, Hae Song began his revenge plan. His aunt had called the two of them over to the US, so they stayed there for three years and got away from all the pain their homeland had caused them.
Hae Song asks his mother to change his name legally, and that’s how he got his name, Hae Song, which was previously Hae Wool. He even took on his mother’s last name to leave no traces of his former identity.
When they returned to Korea, Hae Song made it his passion to devote himself to studies and improving himself. Luckily, he would be good in both boxing and academics, making it easier for him to stay dedicated to his goal.
One of his classmates asked him if he wanted to get into politics because of his insane concentration, but Hae Song wouldn’t let anyone in on his secret mission. The classmate, though curious about what Hae Song was planning, didn’t pry further.
Hae Song internally talks about how his goal is much bigger than the other students could fathom, and the chapter ends with a time-lapse to Hae Song finally joining the Korean University School of Law.
