The group had been pondering and talking about their thoughts of the grand cave they found themselves in. MC was a little surprised that the man whom the grave was built upon named it himself, to show his status. Cheongmyeong even pointed out that it was too arrogant for someone to name their own grave before their death.
The group decided to make their way forward after they had opened the gate to the further, and that was when the beggar asked to come with them.
MC was against the idea of taking him along until he remembered an event of the past. And decided that his revenge against Jong Pal was finally near after all these years.

It’s kind of a repeat in this genre that whatever the MC does is right, and he has ways to take advantage of things because he knows everything. It’s hard not to see it as a power move that would establish the main character as the top dog of those around.
It’s not just this series, though, but almost all of the Shonen manga protagonists have this in common (in Korea). They tend to be omniscient and become omnipotent as the series goes on.
He gets powers that would put them above others, but in Cheongmyeong’s defense, he is balanced compared to them. In the overpowered department but not much in the omniscient part, he is the all-knowing among his peers by default.
