Millia never thought much of it. She is tutored by Duke Esphera, who seemed to be hiding something at the time. One day, as she was lying in bed, she was attacked by an assassin. Millia felt as if she was slipping away from consciousness but woke up soon after.

But things were different. Millia assumed she was dreaming, but it was too vivid for it to be plausible. Turns out she woke up in the body of Queen Gloria, the ancestor she kept having nightmares about. After looking through Gloria’s diary, Millia was able to ascertain some things.

Gloria does not know why the magic pointed her to Millia. As a side effect of using this particular spell, her and Millia’s lives became entangled. Gloria sacrificed herself so that Millia could have a chance at restoring the artifact.

Since it would take about three years for Gloria’s soul to dissipate fully, Millia is stuck in her body for the duration. To their prior discussion, both winners would get to ask for one wish. Lord Leona wanted to ask for a 4th Encounter as part of the selection. Then, he explained further how Duke Ferinand approached him and made demands in exchange for funding his business endeavors.

To bring Leona to her side, Gloria promised to take over the funding. Next up was Gillian, who wanted to be considered to become a Royal Minister. He promised to stay loyal to her if she got what he wanted. However, Gloria is not naive enough to give in so fast.

She questioned him about his motives, which led to Gillain apologizing for his rudeness and leaving. A couple of days later, Gillian and his brother came to visit. They got into an argument, which led to Gillain stepping in, and at the same time, Duke Ferdinand arrives as well.

It looks like he was coming to look for Gloria, probably to ask her about Leona. Since Gloria decided to sponsor Leona, he must have broken all ties with Ferdinand. Let’s see what he has to say about that.
