Park Bo Ram, famed for her emotive voice and K-drama OSTs, has passed away at 30, leaving fans in mourning. The cause of her death is currently under investigation.
“Park Bo Ram suddenly passed away late at night on April 11. All of the artists and executives at XANADU Entertainment are deeply mourning the deceased with great sadness. It is even more heartbreaking that we have to tell you this sudden news to all of the fans who support Park Bo Ram,”
said XANADU Entertainment, her agency, in a statement.
According to a report, Park Bo Ram was present at a private event shortly before her demise, as per investigators from Namyangju Police Station. Allegedly, she was socializing with two companions at the event.
Ms. Bo Ram excused herself to use the restroom around 9:55 p.m, but failed to return. Worried, her friends went to check on her and discovered her unconscious and slouched over the sink.
Park Bo Ram rose to prominence at 17 in 2010, gaining audiences with her talent on the singing competition, Super Star K2.
In 2014, she officially debuted in the pop music scene with her single “Beautiful,” featuring rapper Zico.
Park Bo Ram garnered numerous accolades, notably the Artist of the Year Award at the 2014 Gaon Chart Music Awards.
Renowned for her amazing voice and unforgettable tracks like “Hyehwadong (Or Ssangmundong)” for Reply 1988 and “Please Say Something, Even Though It Is a Lie” for W – Two Worlds, she was actively gearing up for a comeback to commemorate the 10th anniversary of her debut.
