“Remarried Empress” is a manhwa based on a light novel with the same name. The story is about a young Empress Navier who has been a perfect leader for the people of the Eastern Empire for a long time. Although her marriage to the Empror Soveishu was a political one, they still had affection and respect for each other as partners.

Unfortunately, as the time went on, Navier and Soveishu grew more and more distant to each other which created a rift in their relationship. Things got even worse when Sovieshu bought in an injured runaway slave girl called Rashta back to the palace when he went out hunting.

While concubines were not uncommon, it was impossible to make someone of Rashta’s social standing a concubine to the Emperor. To avoid Rashta being ostracized by the Noble’s, Soveishu forges her identity and gives her a fake title and fake parents to make her look like a nobility. The lies and deception started from that point onwards. Rashta’s innocent beauty was her only strong point.

Rashta’s attempt to befriend Navier made Navier uncomfortable and created a deeper rift in her relationship with her husband. After Soveishu asked Navier to divorce him, people thought things would be over for Navier. But unknown to them, Navier has been planning on remarrying a handsome Prince Heinly of another Kingdom while Soveishu was busy plotting the divorce.

In the previous chapter, the Western Kingdom is getting ready for King’s Heinly’s marriage with Navier. Everyone is extremely busy preparing for the lavish wedding as King Heinly greets the important foreign guests personally. Navier encounters Duke Kaufman who is still just as awkward around her due to the effects of the love potion he took a long time ago.

The chapter begins with a noble lady asking is Lady Christa wants to remarry since Navier is also a remarried Empress. Lady Christa’s husband, the former King passed away due to poor health but the person Christa has set her eyes on can never marry her. The Lady suspects that Christa is actually in love with Heinly. 

The wedding preparations are at full swing and there is just one day eft for the Royal wedding. Navier and Heinly take some time out to see each other and discuss the mishap between Heinly and Soveishu that happened earlier. Soveishu and Heinly do not see eye to eye since Soveishu is Navier’s ex-husband and Heinly is Navier’s to be husband. Navier tells Heinly not to treat Soveishu any different as the King of Western Kingdom.

The next day, the wedding day is finally here. Navier is busy getting ready for the wedding ceremony and guests are gathering at the palace to witness the beautiful union. Heinly plans on revealing his plans for making Western Kingdom an Empire after the wedding, which makes Navier realize that she has to shoulder the responsibility of being the first Empress. Finally, both Heinly and Navier reach the alter and hold hands.
