This manga shows how to deviate innovatively from the classic OP MC genre. In the typical tradition of that genre, all is constantly centered on the OP MC character that does everything. Side characters, let alone other characters, don’t count and do not matter. They’re just there as a background for the MC.

Here, we have a decent characterization of several side characters, and now, even an explicit acknowledgment of the Zephyr (MC) that he needs others, even unknown, minor characters, as well.

We already saw that in the raid of the blue dragon, where he didn’t solo everyone and everything but needed the aid of the rest of the army as support.

And we got several chapters not dependent on the Zephyr (MC) but rather on side characters and their tribulations instead of the MC.

Some readers see that as a weakness, but I think it’s more fun this way. It shows the world is portrayed as a vibrant, living world where things happen even if the Zephyr (MC) is not around, which greatly improves immersion and world-building.
