HIDIVE is bringing a major selection of upcoming anime to Anime NYC 2026, with Reincarnated as a Sword Season 2 taking center stage during the streaming service’s convention programming. The highly anticipated isekai sequel will receive its North American premiere on Saturday, August 22, followed by a Q&A panel featuring members of its Japanese production team.
Anime NYC 2026 runs from August 20 through August 23 at the Javits Center in New York City. HIDIVE’s programming will showcase its Fall 2026 anime lineup through world and North American premiere screenings, including several new series scheduled to join its simulcast slate in October.
Alongside Reincarnated as a Sword Season 2, HIDIVE will present the world English dub premiere of The World Is Dancing, the world premiere of the original slice-of-life anime Tetsuryo! meet with Tetsudou Musume, and the North American premiere of fantasy action series Nia Liston: The Merciless Maiden.
Reincarnated as a Sword Season 2 Gets Anime NYC Premiere
The Reincarnated as a Sword Season 2 panel will take place on Saturday, August 22, from 10:45 a.m. to 11:45 a.m. ET in Room 1A23-24 at the Javits Center. The event is open to all Anime NYC badge holders and will feature the North American premiere of the new season before a dedicated Q&A session.
Director Shinji Ishihira will appear alongside producers Yosuke Shimada and Genta Ozaki. Star Butler will serve as the panel host, giving attendees an opportunity to hear directly from members of the Japanese production team ahead of the sequel’s fall return.
The Season 2 presentation is one of the most prominent parts of HIDIVE’s Anime NYC schedule, reflecting the continued interest surrounding the popular isekai franchise.
HIDIVE’s Anime NYC 2026 Schedule Includes Three More Premieres
HIDIVE will begin its Anime NYC programming on Friday, August 21, starting with The World Is Dancing at 11 a.m. The historical drama will receive its world English dub premiere in Room 1A12-14, giving attendees their first opportunity to hear the new dub.
At 12:15 p.m., Tetsuryo! meet with Tetsudou Musume will receive its world premiere in Room 1A15. The original slice-of-life anime celebrates the 20th anniversary of the Railway Girls franchise created by TOMYTEC.
Later that day, at 4 p.m., HIDIVE will screen the North American premiere of Nia Liston: The Merciless Maiden in Rooms 1A15-18. The upcoming fantasy action series is based on the long-running light novel series written by Umikaze Minamino.
HIDIVE’s Anime NYC 2026 showcase ultimately gives fans an early look at several Fall 2026 titles before their October simulcast launches. The streaming service is available across the U.S. and Canada, as well as markets including the U.K., Ireland, Australia and New Zealand.
