Reincarnated as a Sword Episode 5 will have Teacher and Fran continue their story into the depths of the dungeon after the recent goblin incident. The show so far has done a good job of setting up the relationship between the two and showing how the duo is evolving. Fran also seems to have realized her worth away as an individual and talks much better than she used to.

There are subtle signs here and there as well that show she is less inclined to her days as a slave. But she still has a long way to go and is far from evolving to the next stage. But that doesn’t mean Teacher and Fran aren’t introduced to opportunities that force them to grow as a duo. Although for Fran, it is a different story as she has to grow her skills too to be recognized by the world.

But the world is not nice, especially to the cat kind. When Fran made her way to the adventurer’s guild, she was not expecting much, though being discriminated against was not on her list. She got attacked by mercenaries under the pretense that she had stolen the stuff that she sold as loot. But Fran defended herself and her pride with the help of the Teacher.

Reincarnated as a Sword, Episode 4 had Fran and Teacher go for their first big gig as they are invited to join the Guild raid for Dungeon hunting. The goblin problem has grown so much that the whole of the guild is required to deal with them now.

Though Fran was easily able to subdue the goblins that she had met earlier, the Hobgoblins were quite a hassle to deal with, as their strength and numbers were something she couldn’t deal with alone. The guild sees that as a big concern as the arrival of Hobgoblins meant that a Goblin King had been born or evolved.

The main quest for the adventurers is to find the Goblin King before she discovers a Goblin Queen. If they were too late, then the two would create an army of Hobgoblin that would overrun the city and put everyone at risk. The adventurer’s guild made a party of adventurers that would raid the dungeon they were in. But things don’t go as planned or go easy.

They were ambushed when they entered the dungeon, and a lot many died in the process. Fran had the fortune of having the Teacher who helped her along the way, but she was over-exerting herself. Things took a turn for the worse when a Goblin summoned a monster.

They are hell-bent on finding their queen and expanding the hobgoblin army, with their end goal being that of conquering the world. But Teacher had enough of the skirmish and might take things into his blade if things stay the way they are.
