Joy might have used the eyelid tape to get double eyelids. An internet user claimed she got epicanthoplasty, which made her eye swollen. Thus, Joy might get normal after six months if that is the case.

Joy took to Dear. U Bubble app the following day and addressed the allegations regarding her changed look. According to her, people listen to only one side of the story and believe it. Thus, she assured her fans that she was fine and asked them to trust her.
Joy rested for some days and is busy with online fan signs and other stuff. She informed her fans about her upcoming trips to Tokyo and Milan. It indicates that she lives her life, and we must live ours.
Older Health Issues
Joy reportedly took a break from April to June 2023 due to health issues. SM Entertainment announced it and promised her fans to support her at that time. Her health improved, and she performed with the Red Velvet members in June. However, it was a partial recovery.
Joy arrived in Indonesia to attend the Lazada Festival Concert last month, and people began gossiping about her noticeable health issues. She finally broke her silence after thinking a lot and admitted that she had not fully recovered. Thus, she asked her agency for more time to rest.
Joy knows she must fully recover to perform as she used to. Thus, she wants some time for herself. Moreover, Joy previously required two years to get her flawless physique but has lost it now. She knows she must work harder this year because she has promised her fans to come up with more stamina.

Joy’s Career In Red Velvet
Joy was selected for Red Velvet after appearing for SM Global Auditions in Seoul in 2012. SM Entertainment’s first girl group debuted in 2014, Joy being the fourth member. Similarly, Red Velvet became the first idol group under SM Entertainment in 2012.
Red Velvet members, except Joy, appeared in a reality show, Level Up Project, for the first time to present their journey to Thailand. Meanwhile, she was busy filming a South Korean television series as the leading character.
