Reborn to Master the Blade: From Hero-King to Extraordinary Squire Episode 4 saw Chris and Rah joining Cyrene to fight the bandits. While Rahl and Cyrene take on the normal bandits, Chris takes on the leader of the bandits, named Sista Rouge. Chirs enjoys the fight and even starts to prevail; however, she has to forfeit once the leader takes Rahl hostage.
The battle ends up with bandits running away, and as thanks, Cyrene tells Chris and Rahl a secret about Nova city. She reveals that the Highlanders of Nova City have put a magic circle around the city, which is making the city float and results in harm to the people of the city. The commoners are facing trouble, and the only way for them, or at least some of them, is by being slaves to the highlanders.
Later that night, a maid of Cyrene poisons her turning her into a magician beast because she wants revenge against the highlanders for killing her son. Chris and Rahl have no choice but to join forces with the leader of the bandits and the steel-blood front, Sista, and a man with a black mask, respectively.
The man with a black mask also possesses aether, just like Chris, and they both can stop Cyrene when the latter freezes and the former shrinks her. After this battle, the leader of the steel blood front promises to take care of the city, and Cyrene, who is now a small magician beast, comes along with Chris and Rahl in the Royal Knight Academy.
