Rousseau suggested Aegis if anyone needed someone to do something without drawing attention. It would be the duke because it was quite common for him to recruit talented individuals from the information guild.
Rousseau informed Aegis that Sage had an unusual background, but if he had good paperwork, he would have hired him, too. Rousseau mentioned that his cafe sales and his business excellence were not bad either.
Aegis was trying to figure out why Tilly had been squirreling away her money, and now she was related to someone with an identity fraud. Aegis could only conclude that she was planning to run away.
Aegis told Rousseau he had to meet Sage. Rousseau told Aegis it would not be hard for him to fix a meeting with Sage, but he was concerned about what would happen if Thalia found out about their meeting.
Aegis was not sure if Thalia would be upset with him if she found out he went to meet Sage without her knowledge. Rousseau told him even though he did not know how she would react, considering no one could ever know what goes inside her mind.
Rousseau informed Aegis that since he was one of the investors, it would not be surprising if he went to meet the person they were going to work with.
Rousseau told him Thalia would most likely let it slide, but Aegis was still worried. Meanwhile, his advisor advised Julian to be respectful during the council meeting, even though he looked quite excited about his meeting with Loina.
