The identity of the strongest Otsutsuki in the Naruto universe has been a topic of debate, especially after Momoshiki’s death at the hands of Boruto Uzumaki.
While many fans argue that Isshiki Otsutsuki holds this title, the question remains open due to the immense powers displayed by other Otsutsuki members like Kaguya and Momoshiki. Nonetheless, Isshiki is often considered the strongest due to the extraordinary measures taken to defeat him.
Here is Why Isshiki is the Most Powerful Otsutsuki in the Naruto Series
Isshiki Otsutsuki arrived on Earth with Kaguya to harvest the chakra tree. However, Kaguya betrayed him, and Isshiki was forced to hide inside a monk named Jigen using his Sukunahikona ability. He was introduced in the Boruto series as the leader of the Kara organization.
Realizing that Jigen’s body was deteriorating, Isshiki began experimenting on human children to find a suitable vessel. Kawaki emerged as the ideal candidate, surviving the implantation of Karma along with Code, who developed an incomplete white Karma.
When Kawaki escaped and was taken in by the Hidden Leaf Village, Isshiki grew desperate to retrieve him. In a confrontation with Naruto, who utilized his powerful Baryon Mode, Isshiki managed to hold his ground despite being weakened. Ultimately, he died before he could transfer himself to Kawaki.
Isshiki’s abilities were formidable, even by Otsutsuki standards. He possessed a vast chakra reserve and various techniques, including Time-Space Ninjutsu, Genjutsu, Sealing Jutsu, and an original Doujutsu enabling Sukunahikona. This ability allowed him to shrink objects and himself at will.
He also had the Byakugan, though he did not fully utilize its potential. Kaguya Otsutsuki, introduced earlier in the series, had immense destructive power and sought to consume the world but was defeated by Naruto and Sasuke.
Hagoromo and Hamura, Kaguya’s sons, also showcased significant strength by sealing their mother. Momoshiki, another powerful Otsutsuki, absorbed Kinshiki’s powers, becoming extremely powerful before being defeated by Boruto, Naruto, and Sasuke.
Despite not causing as much destruction as some of his predecessors, Isshiki’s strength is evident as he nearly overpowered Naruto in his most powerful form.
However, Shibai Otsutsuki, who ascended to a god-like status after multiple reincarnations and consuming many chakra fruits, is considered the most powerful Otsutsuki.
Shibai possesses abilities seen in other characters, including Eida’s Senringan, the Byakugan, and the Rinnegan, though he has yet to make an official appearance in the series. Thus, while Isshiki is immensely powerful, Shibai holds the title of the strongest Otsutsuki in the Narutoverse.
