Despite a split Season 14 with talk of a cast change, Rachel Fuda had a strong second season on Real Housewives of New Jersey. In Season 13, Rachel shared her IVF journey to have her daughters, and she recently told People Magazine that she and John began the process again as soon as filming ended. Rachel also started Season 13 with a friendship with newcomer Danielle Cabral.
However, this turned into a conflict as they ended up on opposite sides of the ongoing family feud between Melissa Gorga and Teresa Giudice.
But Rachel and Danielle have a skill that some of the original cast lack: the ability to talk through their issues and move forward. They managed to clear up their misunderstandings from the previous season and strengthen their friendship.
On “RHONJ,” Rachel Fuda Is the Way Forward
It has been confirmed that Real Housewives of New Jersey will go on a break while they resolve the casting issues caused by conflicts between Melissa, Joe Gorga, Teresa, Jennifer Aydin, and Margaret Josephs. These cast members have been involved in a long-running family feud, with each side blaming the other for the ongoing drama.
The actions some of them took to dig up dirt on their rivals and spread misinformation online have cast a shadow over the show, as they continue to point fingers at each other.
Teresa denies being involved in digging up information about people’s pasts, but her husband, Luis Ruelas, is said to have hired a private detective to investigate the cast. This led to Teresa accusing Rachel’s husband, John Fuda, of having a past as a drug dealer.
Unfortunately, Luis’ actions have put Teresa in a difficult position with the other cast members and possibly with Bravo, as the network considers how to move forward with a cast that is constantly focused on the past.
Rachel’s pregnancy provides a chance for the show to look ahead, as she expresses her joy about being a mother: “And I can’t wait to do it again. I mean, what’s better than bringing new life into the world? How lucky am I?”
Rachel Fuda is proving to be the future of Real Housewives of New Jersey. In her first two seasons, she has been open about her life, raising her two daughters and her adopted son from John’s previous relationship. She’s also involved her family in the series and hosted charity events.
Rachel is a voice of reason among the New Jersey Housewives but isn’t afraid to stand her ground when needed. Her confrontations with Danielle in Season 13 and with Teresa this season, as she stood by her husband, have cemented her status as a standout on the show.
Rachel has followed the Housewives playbook perfectly, and with her pregnancy revealed at the Season 14 finale, it’s clear she is the way forward for the series.
Focusing the show around Rachel and her growing family would bring back the essence of Real Housewives. She is centered on her family and friendships, which is what the franchise should focus on. Both Rachel and Danielle are young mothers with growing families and engaging lives.
Unlike others on the show, they don’t seem interested in digging into people’s personal lives to make them look bad on TV. As Rachel says, her children keep her “grounded” and focused on “what actually matters.”
All seasons of Real Housewives of New Jersey are available to stream on Peacock.
