Recap
Chapter 122 of Quest Supremacy takes us deeper into the gang conflicts at Gangbuk High, where things are getting pretty complicated. The story begins with Kyung Uijin passing out unexpectedly because of a card called Berserker. Panihlo shows concern for Uijin, who reveals that passing out is normal for him.
Turns out, it’s the effect of a card. Uijin talks about passing out because of the Berserker card and contemplates looking at the Trickery card again. But things take a twist when Panihlo interrupts, shouting for Sir Choyun’s attention.
While trying to convince someone to join the West, Sir Choyun appears to be affected by the Boomer card. The target, however, has a status effect that blocks the Boomer card, so the attempt is unsuccessful.
When it becomes clear that the person in question has been brainwashed, Uijin releases them by using the Nullify card. The story makes references to the difficulty of the card game and the effects of brainwashing in the gang environment.
The disclosed character worries about following Sir Choyun and admits to having a connection with Kang Sechan. Status effects can be removed when a unique upgrade card appears. Abruptly, word spread that Ju Hakjin attacked Kang Seok, leading the Western Gangbuk High to submit to the Northern forces.
This appears to be a surrender, but it’s a calculated effort to win people over. The mastermind Kang Seok is a man whose plans to give up land to the North cast questions on his sanity.
The idea of believing this unexpected change of events is one the characters struggle with. For Ha Seonwoo, the capitulation offers him the chance to accomplish what his forebears were unable to do: conquer the West without using force.
Uijin meets Cheon Taeho in the middle of all of this, and they talk about mixed feelings and uncertain loyalty. Cheon Taeho fan Ju Hakjin is upset that Ha Seonwoo is unwilling to use his skills during the conflict. This prepares Ha Seonwoo and Cheon Taeho for a power battle, which Ju Hakjin plans to make use of.
As the chapter progresses, tensions increase, friends change, and people struggle with difficult moral decisions around loyalty and disagreement.
A mystery plan called “Heaven’s Ambition” has been revealed, giving the story even more suspense. When Uijin has to battle Cheon Taeho, he thinks about the effects of giving up the North.
The chapter ends with a heated argument between Daniel, an important player in the North, and Uijin. As Daniel searches for information on Haru, readers are left excitedly awaiting what will happen in the world of Quest Supremacy, a gang-driven world.
To put it another way, the chapter opens with Uijin unconscious from a card. We learn about training and a card system after an unexplained break. As part of a plot, the Western gang pretends to turn themselves into the North. For Ha Seonwoo, it’s an opportunity to rule without using force.
Ju Hakjin adds to the drama during a tense conversation between Uijin and Cheon Taeho. After Daniel and Uijin meet each other at the end of the chapter, we are left wondering what will happen next about the mystery plan known as Heaven’s Ambition.
