Quantum Leap (2022) Season 2 Episode 10 Recap
Officially, Rachel’s boss has joined the chat. Tuesday’s episode of Quantum Leap finally revealed Gideon Ridge, the enigmatic entrepreneur Ian had teamed up with in a desperate attempt to find Ben, after dark foreboding. Ben vanished for three years, and Gideon (James Frain) was the only one with the resources and knowledge to create the quantum chip, which was crucial in finding him.
This week’s Quantum Leap ended with a terrified Rachel alerting Ian to the fact that Gideon was on his way after learning about their plans. However, it was insufficient time to have the team ready for the man who entered the room with a casual gait and introduced himself, acting as though Jenn hadn’t just called him “the last person any hacker wants to tangle with.”
The guy in the grey suit and white Converse sneakers gave the gang something to be suspicious about. To keep the quantum chip operating, he dispatched his ally Simone in Episode 6 to blackmail Ian into disclosing sensitive information regarding the Quantum Leap program.
In Episode 7, Jenn and Ian blocked Simone’s attempt to force their hand by getting Rachel’s assistance in developing a software patch that overrode the chip, allowing them to continue watching Ben without disclosing any more information.
The secret is now out, though. And even though Gideon was beaming, we could see the evil glint in his eyes as he welcomed Ian.
In Tuesday’s episode of Quantum Leap, the former army officer chose to confront her boyfriend immediately with Tom’s engagement ring, rather than waiting for him to finally pop the question, after finding it concealed in a kitchen drawer. Fortunately, she did, too, because it made Tom pop the question that very moment, and they are now engaged.
Addison’s life was completely upended by Ben’s unexpected absence and subsequent return three years ago, so this is a significant milestone for her as she is beginning to live her life on her terms.
Hannah’s failing marriage will be another challenge for the trio to overcome in the interim. Hannah’s present husband Josh is expected to pass away from an aneurysm in 18 months, leaving her to raise their son alone, Addison said somberly in this week’s wrap-up. Ben leapt into the next body before he could alert Hannah and maybe save Josh’s life, which simply adds to the agony.
