Joey Graziadei is starting his Bachelor journey, which is the term used by fans of the show to describe the process of selecting a life partner from the 32 women competing for his affections.
However, there is a literal journey involved as well: a voyage from the Bachelor Mansion in Agoura Hills, California to a number of romantic locations across the world.
A traditional aspect of the bachelorette experience is travel. The structure of the show demands that contestants fall in love fairly quickly, and a solitary date in a far-off, idyllic city can only facilitate that.
Less foreign travel has been included in recent seasons of Bachelor Nation shows, though. Charity Lawson’s Bachelorette season, for instance, only travelled domestically, with the exception of overnight stays in Fiji. The Golden Bachelor season with Gerry Turner didn’t go from Southern California to hometowns; instead, it ended in Costa Rica.
In a big way, the franchise travel tradition is back with Joey’s season. Presented below is a list of Joey’s Bachelor filming locations for Season 28, as revealed by Reality Steve.
Joey Graziadei, a tennis instructor, quickly became a fan favorite when viewers first saw him during Charity Lawson’s Bachelorette season because of his easygoing demeanor and upbeat Midwestern outlook. However, during Hometowns, his uncle voiced concerns that he wasn’t being “the genuine Joey,” which complicated his laid-back manner.
By the time his season of The Bachelor premieres on January 22, Bachelor Nation hopes to see that side of him. The Pennsylvania native, 28, claimed in his post that he had “grown immensely” since working with Charity the previous spring. That didn’t, however, lessen the difficulty of this new adventure.
There are many surprises in his run, which is billed as “the most romantic season in Bachelor history.” Even though Joey planned to go his own way, he wouldn’t have objected to being warned about some of the season’s unexpected turns.
“I certainly didn’t anticipate dating sisters,” he remarks, referring to the competitors Allison Hollinger and Lauren. “That came completely unexpected.”
Bachelor Filming Locations
In order to record the season’s opening video, Graziadei and the production team reported to the Collegeville Italian Bakery Pizzeria Napoletana in Collegeville, Pennsylvania, on September 8, 2023. On September 19, 2023, in Agoura Hills, California, official filming got underway.
Filming was reportedly taking place at the Fairmont Jasper Park Lodge in Jasper, Alberta, in October 2023. Season 17 of The Bachelorette was originally scheduled to film here in February 2021, but the Canadian government’s travel restrictions forced the season’s postponement.
The blogger for Bachelor Nation claims that following three rose ceremonies, Joey’s season was transferred from California to Malta. According to what he writes, Joey and the women engaged in sword fighting and mouth-cracking sausages during their group date.
Joey and his remaining women reportedly explored the cities of Marbella and Ronda during their next stop, which was in Málaga, Spain. A vintage Instagram video shows that Joey has been to the province previously! It’s safe to say, though, that the area now has new significance for him.
Before hometowns, the show visited various regions of Canada, according to Reality Steve. Quebec’s Montreal came first, then Jasper, Alberta, with its polar plunge and horseback riding. Joey and his last three women reportedly spent overnights and attended the last rose ceremony in Tulum, Mexico, after their hometowns.
Bachelor in Paradise actually filmed its first season in Tulum before moving to the Playa Escondida Resort in Sayulita, Mexico, for the remainder of its run. So, for Joey’s Bachelor season, get ready for a detailed schedule!
Jesse Palmer recently stated, “It’s a lot,” in an interview with GQ. The Bachelor host continued, saying that during the autumn, he had flown on “six planes in seven days” to combine his work at the rose ceremony with his college football commitments. Given that Jesse hinted that this would be “the most romantic season in Bachelor history,” it appears that it was all worthwhile.
Participants visited Marbella and Ronda in Spain, which are located along the stunning Costa del Sol coast in Andalusia. Ronda has won the hearts of numerous Bachelor couples over the years thanks to its panoramic views, winding cobblestone streets, and Moorish architecture.
In Collegeville, Pennsylvania, at the Collegeville Italian Bakery Pizzeria Napoletana, the Bachelor 2024 production crew was observed filming. The bakery was used to film opening scenes for this season, whether it was a date night with warm garlic knots and bubbling pizza or capturing some sentimental pre-rose ceremony conversations over steaming cappuccinos.
