Prime Video has released the official trailer for Neagley, giving fans their first extended look at the upcoming action series centered on one of the most popular characters from Lee Child’s Jack Reacher novels. Starring Maria Sten as Frances Neagley, the new series expands the Reacher universe with a story focused on the former military investigator and close ally of Jack Reacher.
Neagley will premiere on Wednesday, September 16, 2026, immediately following the Reacher Season 4 finale. Prime Video will release all eight episodes at once, making the series available exclusively on the streaming service across more than 240 countries and territories.
The trailer sets up a dangerous investigation that forces Neagley to draw on her military experience and everything she learned alongside Reacher. Alan Ritchson will also appear as Jack Reacher, giving the spinoff a direct connection to the flagship series.
Maria Sten’s Neagley Takes on a Dangerous Investigation
The story follows Frances Neagley, who now works as a private investigator in Chicago after serving in the Army’s 110th Special Investigations Unit. Her connection to Reacher runs deep, as she was one of his trusted colleagues during their military careers.
Neagley’s latest case begins after a close friend from her past dies in what appears to be a suspicious accident. Refusing to accept the circumstances surrounding the death, she launches her own investigation and soon finds herself pursuing a much larger threat.
Her investigation pushes her into increasingly dangerous territory, requiring her to use the skills developed during her military career. The series is therefore positioned as both a standalone crime thriller and an expansion of the world established by Reacher.
The cast alongside Sten includes Greyston Holt as Detective Hudson Riley, Adeline Rudolph as Renee Birdwhistle, Jasper Jones as Keno, Matthew Del Negro as Pierce Woodrow and Damon Herriman as Lawrence Cole. Ritchson is confirmed to guest star as Reacher.

Neagley Brings Lee Child’s Character Into Her Own Series
The series is based on the Frances Neagley character created by bestselling author Lee Child. Neagley comes from Paramount Television Studios and Amazon MGM Studios, with Nick Santora and Nicholas Wootton serving as creators, executive producers and co-showrunners.
Santora is known for his work on Reacher, Prison Break and FUBAR, while Wootton previously worked on Scorpion and The Endgame. Lee Child, Don Granger, Sam Hill, Adam Higgs and Lisa Kussner are also executive producers, with Sam Hill directing the first two episodes.
Prime Video has confirmed that all eight episodes of Neagley will premiere on September 16. The release also means viewers will move directly from the Reacher Season 4 finale into Frances Neagley’s first solo adventure, making the new series an important expansion of Amazon MGM Studios’ Reacher franchise.
