Blaine tortured Leah in the previous chapter after he came to find that Leah had been spending time with Ishakan. Readers are excited to find out if Ishakan would be able to help Leah in Predatory Marriage Chapter 13.
Ishakan told Leah to stop addressing him as the king of Kurkans and call him by his name instead. Leah told him she wanted to receive similar treatments from him. She wanted him to treat her like a proper princess and promised to do the same and treat him respectfully as the king of the kurkans.
Leah suggested to him that they should leave everything that happened in the brothel behind them. Ishakan was wondering if she was going to stay mad at him because he was not going to follow her request.
Leah told him he was free to do anything he wanted. Ishakan was ready to treat her as a princess in public. Ishakan told Leah he preferred the other version of herself.
Leah told him to stop making rude comments about her if he was planning to be respectful towards her and treat her as a princess. Leah warned Ishakan not to touch her without her consent.
Ishakan was worried because Leah had gotten thinner. He was wondering if she was eating well. Leah reminded him that he should stop touching her.
Ishakan told her it was fine when they were alone together because he did not have to treat her like a princess then.
Leah told Ishakan he should understand her situation and requested that he forget about that day. Ishakan gave Leah dried date palm fruit. It had been a long time since Leah had tasted something sweet.
She thought it was delicious. Leah was hungry, so she ate it without realizing it. Leah was not estranged from Blaine from the very beginning.
Recap
Leah was very lonely as a child, so she was very happy that a boy her age had become a new family member. She believed that they could truly become a family, but Blaine had stopped attending his class.
So Leah’s mother was worried about him, and Blaine told her he hated studying. He was more interested in hunting, Leah told him, even though she hated studying.
She mentioned that nobody in the world liked studying either, but she could do many things after studying and becoming smarter.
Leah could do many things because she was good at studying. She believed that Leah also had things he wanted to do, so she wanted Blaine not to give up on his goals.
Leah advised Blaine to work hard so that he could get what he wanted. Leah was ready to help him out. Blaine told her she should not forget that.
Leah realized later that she should not have said those words to Blaine back then. Blaine started hurting Leah when they grew up. He thought Leah always wanted to embarrass him.
Leah told him she just wanted to help him. But Blaine’s temper was getting worse. He told Leah that if she truly wanted to help him, she should stay quiet.
In the present time, Blaine informed Leah that he did not know about the customs of Kurkan. But in Estia, it was not ideal for unmarried women to be alone with a man.
Leah noticed that Blaine was being polite to her when Ishakan was around. Blaine told Leah he wanted to have a chat with her in private and suggested that they should go to a quiet place.
Blaine dragged her by her arm, and Leah wanted to ask Ishakan for help. But she was not sure if he would have helped her.
Blaine dragged Leah into a room and asked her what she was doing with Ishakan. Blaine warned Leah not to get anywhere near Ishakan.
