The stylist and makeup artist Ralph Cirella died at the age of 58. He was being treated for a very rare form of lymphoma. He was a very longtime friend to Howard Stern and has frequently appeared on his radio show.
Howard announced the news of the death of his friend in his show SiriusXM’s The Howard Stern Show. He seemed really carried away by the thought of his dearest friend and was emotional at the time of the announcement.
He shared some of his memories with his late friend and said the moments are to be cherished forever. Stern added that Cirella was undergoing a procedure for his illness when his heart gave out. Stern describes Ralph as a trustworthy and dearest friend who made him every time they are together.
The episode was clearly a tribute to Cirella who had appeared on the show for many times in the past. Stern seems really disheartened by the news and also revealed that they have spoke the night before he passed. He said that they were talking about the curable and treatable cancer and also that the two had great hopes of him recovering from the disease.
Stern also pointed out the most toughest part of loving someone is when you lose them for death.
Lord knows I loved Ralph. My wife said to me last night, ‘You and Ralph have a secret language’ and it’s true … we had a great chemistry, and we had a great friendship, and Ralph was one of my bros. In fact, I came to think of Ralph as family.
He voiced his frustrations over the circumstances of his loss and said that Ralph got involved with the illness pretty much late otherwise things would have been different because the disease was treatable. He was not ready to let go his most loved and trusted friend which he considered as family. Death can be sometimes very brutal, and takes away all happiness in a person’s life.
