Pokémon Scarlet and Violet Bring Back Mighty Hisuian Samurott in 7-Star Tera Raid Event

Pokémon Scarlet and Violet players have another opportunity to challenge one of the game’s toughest Tera Raid bosses. The Pokémon Company has announced the return of Mighty Hisuian Samurott in a 7-Star Black Crystal Tera Raid Battle, running from July 10 through July 17, 2026.

The returning event lets trainers battle the powerful Water Tera-type Pokémon once again, while newcomers can finally add it to their collection if they missed its previous appearances.

Mighty Hisuian Samurott returns for a limited time

The featured raid Pokémon is Hisuian Samurott, the regional form originally introduced in Pokémon Legends: Arceus. It appears as a Level 100, 7-Star Water Tera-type raid boss equipped with the Sharpness Ability and an Adamant nature.

According to the event details, trainers can catch only one Mighty Hisuian Samurott per save file, even if they defeat it multiple times. Players who already caught the Pokémon during its previous event won’t be able to capture another, although they can continue participating to earn raid rewards. The Pokémon also carries the exclusive Mightiest Mark, making it a prized addition for collectors.

Mighty Hisuian Samurott uses attacks including Ceaseless Edge, Razor Shell, X-Scissor, and Sacred Sword, while also triggering scripted moves such as Swords Dance, Focus Energy, and Bulldoze during battle. Defeating the raid rewards players with valuable items like Ability Patches, Water Tera Shards, EXP Candies, Protein, and other rare materials.

To access the event, players must download the latest Poké Portal News through the Mystery Gift menu. A Nintendo Switch Online subscription is not required to receive the event data, although online multiplayer raids do require an active membership.

The Pokémon Company also noted that Mighty Hisuian Samurott may return in future events or become available through other methods, giving players additional opportunities if they miss this week’s raid.
