The latest high-difficulty raid event in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet has brought back one of the toughest bosses yet, as the 7-Star Inteleon Tera Raid returns for a limited time.
Featuring an Ice Tera Type Inteleon with the coveted Mightiest Mark, the event is now live and challenges players to prepare optimized teams and strategies to secure victory.
The raid runs from June 19 to June 25, 2026, giving players a short window to capture the powerful “Inteleon the Unrivaled.”
Limited-Time Raid With Exclusive Rewards
This special Black Crystal Tera Raid allows trainers to encounter a max-IV Inteleon equipped with its Hidden Ability, Sniper. The Pokémon can only be caught once per save file, making it a valuable addition for collectors and competitive players alike.
Beyond the main reward, players can farm high-value items such as Ability Patches, Bottle Caps, and Rare Candies. These drops make the event one of the most rewarding raid opportunities currently available in the game.
However, the raid comes with a catch. Trainers who already captured Inteleon during its original 2023 run will not be able to catch it again, although they can still participate for rewards.
Unlike standard encounters, this version of Inteleon uses an Ice Tera Type, significantly changing its weaknesses and battle dynamics. While normally a Water-type Pokémon, its Tera transformation makes it vulnerable to Fighting, Steel, Rock, and Fire-type moves.
The challenge is further increased by its moveset, which includes powerful attacks like Blizzard, Snipe Shot, and Dark Pulse. It also uses support moves such as Mist and Snowscape early in the battle.
Mist prevents stat reductions for several turns, while Snowscape boosts its Blizzard accuracy, making it harder for players to control the fight. Combined with its Hidden Ability Sniper, which increases critical hit damage, Inteleon becomes a high-pressure boss that punishes unprepared teams.
Best Counters to Use Against Inteleon
To succeed in this raid, players need Pokémon that can both survive incoming attacks and deal consistent damage.
One of the most effective counters is Annihilape, which can build power over time using Rage Fist while sustaining itself with Drain Punch. Despite being vulnerable to Dark Pulse, its damage output makes it a reliable solo option.
Another strong choice is Kingambit, which benefits from Inteleon’s stat-lowering moves. Its Defiant Ability converts these into attack boosts, allowing it to quickly ramp up damage with Swords Dance and finish with Iron Head.
Meanwhile, Gholdengo offers a more defensive approach. Its Steel typing resists several attacks, and its Good as Gold ability prevents stat reductions entirely. With Nasty Plot boosts, it can deal massive damage while staying safe.
These three Pokémon represent the most consistent options for solo players, though others like Iron Hands, Lucario, and Koraidon can also perform well depending on team setup.

Success in the Inteleon raid is less about brute force and more about managing the fight’s mechanics. Since Inteleon sets up Mist early, players should avoid relying on stat-lowering moves until the effect expires or is removed.
Weather control is also crucial. Moves like Sunny Day can counter Snowscape, reducing Blizzard’s effectiveness and improving survivability.
Players should focus on building up their Tera charge while maintaining health through recovery moves. Once Terastallized, consistent super-effective damage becomes the key to finishing the battle within the time limit.
Preparation is equally important outside the battle. Trainers must unlock 6-Star Tera Raids and ensure their Pokémon are properly trained before attempting this encounter.
