The official X/Twitter account for the Pokémon anime shared some big news. They announced that the Pokémon Horizons: The Series anime will start a fresh arc called “Terastal Debut” on April 12. They even showed off a cool picture for the upcoming arc.
Get set for some new adventures with your favorite Pokémon. The anime first hit screens in Japan back in April 2023, kicking off with a special hour-long episode. It’s a regular Friday night thing, airing at 6:55 p.m. JST (4:55 a.m. EDT).
The second arc, “Terapagos no Kagayaki” (The Brilliance of Terapagos), started rolling with Episode 29 on October 27 in Japan. The Pokémon Company initially said the anime would hit Netflix in the U.S. on February 23. But surprise, It actually premiered a bit later, on March 7.
The anime introduces two fresh faces as the main characters Liko and Roy. They’re on an adventure with Pokémon like Sprigatito, Fuecoco, and Quaxly from the Pokémon Scarlet and Pokémon Violet video games.

Keep an eye out for the Legendary Pokémon Rayquaza, shining in its Shiny form. Plus, there are new characters to meet: Friede and Captain Pikachu. They’re a Pokémon professor and his trusty Pokémon partner, fighting side by side with Liko and Roy.
Saori Den, known for Mirage Queen Prefers Circus, is taking the director’s chair for the anime. Daiki Tomiyasu, with experience in Pokémon Sun & Moon and Pocket Monster Mezase Pokémon Master, is the creative director.
Dai Sato, famous for works like Eureka Seven and Cowboy Bebop, is overseeing the series scripts. Heading up the action is Tetsuo Yajima, while Rei Yamazaki and Kyoko Ito are the character and sub-character designers, respectively.
Masafumi Mima is in charge of sound direction, and Conisch is composing the music. With this talented team, the anime is in good hands
