‘Please, Divorce Me’ is an ongoing romantic manhwa which has been airing since May 2023. The manhwa follows a wholesome and comforting storytelling pattern where the female and male leads find each other to be their soul mates. Chapter 39 starts with Jiwoon just getting out of his office to get back to his home. However, he is suddenly stopped by driver Kim, who says to him that Madam Eun-chae is very drunk and has fallen asleep. Jin Wook takes responsibility from here on and tells his driver to leave the place.
He approaches her and wakes up, saying they have to go home now. In a drunk state, Eun-chae is babbling nonsense to Jin Wook, and he laughs it off as a silly joke. He did not expect her to drink that much.
Jin Wook takes Eun-chae to him and puts her in bed, but she is not sober yet and is constantly spitting nonsense. She now says that it is her first time realizing how handsome Jin Wook is, and she wants to love and take care of him more.
Jin Wook is also feeling excited, and when they are just about to make love, Eun-chae utters something that sets Jin Wook off. He is shocked to hear Eun-chae saying they should do it while they still have that chance. It makes him wonder what could be the reason behind it. Nonetheless, Eun-chae falls asleep, and their temporary happiness concludes that they might.
The next day, Eun-chae wakes up, and she is having amnesia regarding whatever happened last night. She was drinking excessively last night because she had to accompany her friend, who was in grief. That event makes Jin Wook certain that he cannot ever leave alone drinking, especially when she is not around her.
Later, she gets a call from Jin Wook from the office, who asks about her well-being. Due to having a headache, she is giving fuzzy replies and cannot recall what exactly happened. Jin Wook then invites her to the restaurant where they first made the deal. Hearing this, we could see Eun-chae’s face becoming pale suddenly.
She meets him in front of the restaurant as she was told. Jin Wook also arrives after being late for a couple of minutes. Just when they are about to enter the place. Eun-chae urges him not to go there and instead offers him a hotel room reservation. She says since they are lovers now, they should get to know each other more, and the chapter ends there.

Eun-chae arrives drunk in front of Jin Wook and makes him concerned about her condition. He thought she would not drink excessively, but according to her, she had to join her friend in unavoidable circumstances.
This moment becomes evident for Jin Wook that he cannot leave her alone in any scenario. Also, she utters something that leaves him thinking about what Eun-chae’s true motives are, so he decides to invite her for a dinner night.
