The Pixar’s Cars franchise gears up for a comeback, possibly with Cars 4 and more. It seems like Toy Story will not be the only Pixar franchise to release new projects because Cars will continue its legacy in the near future as well.
This bit of news was revealed by Pixar creative director Jay Ward, who was recently interviewed at the 2023 Porsche Rennsport Reunion Event by The Late Brake Show. In his interaction with Sally Carrera and Jonny Smith, the creative head was asked about the updates on the Cars project.

It has been a challenging year for Disney, and they are trying to gear up with some of the most popular franchises in the industry. The creative director said that there are more Cars things that are brewing, and he is not able to answer all the related questions right now. The saga’s debut movie, which followed the exploits of the well-known racing vehicle known as Lightning McQueen, was released in 2006.
Due to the film’s enormous success, two sequels were released in 2011 and 2017. In addition, a television series, a number of short films, and spin-offs with a primary focus on other franchise characters have been added to the franchise. It appears like Pixar is now prepared to allow viewers to revisit this well-liked universe.
