The Plot
Pioneer Log of the Storied Hot Springs Alternate World’s Springs tells the story of hot spring enthusiast Yoshizō Yukawa. His life’s work is to locate undiscovered springs that can stimulate the regional economy. But during one of his adventures, he unintentionally tumbles off a cliff, and things take a surprising turn.
Thanks to a harvest god he finds at a shrine, Yukawa awakens in a whole different world as opposed to dying. Mayudama, the goddess’ attendant princess, is beside him. Together, they set out on a mission to find unique hot springs that can revitalize the underdeveloped areas of this other world.
Yukawa and Mayudama, as pioneers in this unknown region, come across a variety of enchanted settings and legendary monsters. Still, their primary goal is to locate legendary hot springs. These are not your typical hot springs; instead, each one has special abilities ranging from magical benefits that can support the growth of the other world to healing properties.
There are several humorous moments along the way. Yukawa frequently finds himself in unanticipated circumstances, such as finding himself unintentionally in hot springs with elven maidens and furry-eared girls. These interactions give their otherwise difficult mission a dash of charm and fun.
