Pick Me Up, Infinite Gacha: Chapter 49 Recap

In the previous chapter of Pick Me Up, Infinite Gacha, Han Islat passes through the guards and asks his party members to hold them so that he can go ahead and find the person. When he goes inside, Han comes across a few more guards who seem stronger than the ones who were stationed outside. After battling it out with multiple soldiers at once, Han Islat reaches the place where the Heir is standing. The old man beside her who seemed to be working for her fires up his magic but instead of Han, he aims it at the young girl.

Han slashes the man’s head off in an instant and saves the girl from being killed. The girl pushes Han away and demands to know who he is and what he was doing here. Han refuses to give her a clear answer when suddenly, assassins start firing arrows at the girl and Han rushes to shield her once again. The assassins storm towards Han and the girl in masses, aiming all their firepower at the girl. Han fights and throws all the assassins off one by one, shielding the young girl from oncoming arrows and poisonous daggers.

Edis comes after climbing the wall and she is surprised to see the girl, hinting that Edis had seen her before. Han asks the girl to stay by him if she wants to live and she agrees to join the party. The mission changes from protecting Francias to escaping the city with her safely. The rest of the team members reach the balcony and Eolka seems to know who Francias is. Her conversation is cut short when Han gives orders to each them and devises an escape plan, using a rope to climb down the stairs towards a safer exit.
