What possibly goes wrong when four Housewives, three Challenge alumni, a former Bachelor, two Survivor winners, and more go inside a castle in Scotland? Friday, January 12th marks the premiere of Peacock’s The Traitors Season 2, which looks promising with lots of plot twists and interactive gameplay.
“This is not The Bachelor, and I don’t have to kiss your ass for a rose,” Bravo star Phaedra Parks exclaimed in a moment from the teaser that went viral, involving her and season 24 Bachelor Peter Weber.
I said, “Oh my God, I can’t wait to meet her.” In an interview with Weber and Ekin-Su Cülcüloğlu of Love Island, MTV’s Trishelle Cannatella informed Us Weekly about Phaedra, 50.
In addition, how can I even behave around her when I’m afraid of her? I was taken aback by her as she is genuinely kind. Peter, though, may have experienced something distinct from what I had. However, I thought Phaedra was cute.
When he heard his costar’s evaluation, Weber, 32, laughed. “Hell, the remarks on that trailer, man, are just amazing,” he told Us. “My time with Phaedra was excellent.
Our connection was inconsistent at best. She is, for the most part, a sweetheart, and since I’ve seen her a lot on TV, it was great to play with her. That being said, it went well.
Peter Weber Controversy With Phaedra Parks on ‘Traitors’ Season 2
Fans can expect to see a new side of Weber on The Traitors, as 20 reality stars battle to figure out who is “murdering” their coworkers at nighttime. Weber told Us that the ABC dating show didn’t prepare him “at all” for the complex competitive series.
“I picked things up very fast and enjoyed doing this show; it was very different from The Bachelor,” he stated. I saw a show called The Bachelor, and it was clear that the main character was acting sincerely.
This show requires you to do the exact opposite and separate from your heart in any emotion to keep your judgment clear and make it only a mental game because it is entirely emotion-based.
It was therefore quite different. There were no parallels at all, but I had the best time ever. Although Cülcüloğlu, 29, previously attended a dating show, she believed that Love Island had given her a better preparation.
I was excellent at reading people’s minds on Love Island, she admitted to Us. I knew who was playing the game, who was genuine and who wasn’t, and who was faking it to make it.” Thus, I applied all of the characteristics and attributes from Love Island to this game.
But as Peter pointed out, this is not the same as sunbathing and bikinis. Everything is within a castle. It everything feels quite creepy; you get a lot of Harry Potter vibes. Everyone is envious of one another.
Because you’re unsure of who to trust, you feel paranoid. You verge on going insane. But it’s so fun because I adore these dark games to play. They’re all playing mind games these days, so it’s a nice mental game. All of them do.
It’s awful that you are constantly duped. It was enjoyable anyway, and it was good to meet new people because the cast is fantastic.
With five seasons of The Challenge under her belt after her debut on The Real World: Las Vegas (2002), Cannatella, 44, has more experience in a competitive setting. The Traitors reunited her with old costars Chris “CT” Tamburello & Johnny “Bananas” Devenanzio.
When I saw CT & Bananas, I was thinking, ‘Why? Are these two out of everyone on MTV? I mean, Bananas and I and CT don’t exactly have the finest history. Consequently, I thought that was somewhat of a disadvantage, to be honest,” she said to Us.
On the other hand, Tamburello said that he had no history of conflict with Cannatella. In a different interview, he told Us, “I didn’t know that I and Trishelle had this thing, this drama, this beef,” pointing out that their Real World seasons aired consecutively until they first crossed paths on The Inferno in 2004.
We were in our youth. The “How are you guys going to go along?” dynamic [on Traitors] was something I didn’t grasp. She didn’t seem to be hostile toward me, though, at the same time.
I therefore think to myself as I start this new chapter in my life and perform the Traitors act, “Oh, Trishelle, oh, Bananas,” when I meet familiar faces. It seemed to be a place where I could feel comfortable. I hope there will always be a place for them both.
