Pet Sematary (2019) is one of those films where the ending leaves everyone puzzled! Next level supernatural-horror, Pet Sematary has unquestionably lived up to its expectations. It got adopted from the novel of the most prominent horror author of all time, Stephen King. Stephen King’s Pet Sematary novel launched in 1983 while the film premiered in 1989. Plot Summary Of The 2019 Horror
Louis Creed (Jason Clarke), an ER doctor, gets evicted from his home in Boston. He and his family get forced to move to a small town in Maine. A student named Victor gets killed after getting crushed by a vehicle. After failing to save him, Louis gets terrifying nightmares that night about the student. During Halloween, their pet cat, Church, gets killed by a truck. Their neighbor, Jud (John Lithgow,) assists the family bury Church in a burial ground named Pet Sematary. Church amazingly returns alive the next day, behaving very violently. He shreds down a bird and eats it alive. They realized Church got occupied by an evil spirit. Creed tries his best to free Church’s soul but fails.
It is Ellie’s birthday, and everyone is enjoying it. Ellie notices Church in the woods and rushes towards it. But she gets hit by a truck and dies instantly. It is different from the previous film where Gage dies in place of Ellie. The family is in shock, and Louis plans to get Ellie back. Jud warns Louis that one must not resurrect the dead. But Louis goes against him.
Ellie rises from the dead but looks as good as dead (zombie). Ellie haunts Jud, Gage, and Rachel after her resurrection. The dead or undead Ellie badly injures Jud’s legs and goes after Rachel. She almost kills her by stabbing her simultaneously. Rachel begs Louis not to resurrect her at any cost. Louis manages to save Gage and locks Gage inside the car.
