Pat Cooper: Titled “The Comedian Of Outrage”
Even after facing pressure from his father to become a bricklayer like himself, Pat Cooper, born Pasquale Caputo, had always known what he wanted. It was in the 1950s that Cooper found his calling and started to perform on stages all around New York City. From nightclubs to small programs, you could catch a glimpse of Pat at any of these events, trying his best to make people laugh with his witty and relatable jokes.

Following his national success, Pat started appearing as the main comedian in the country’s finest nightclubs, such as the Copacabana, Latin Casino, 500 Club, and many others.
One of his programs at the time was shown on the same stage as Frank Sinatra, Sergio Franchi, and Bobby Vinton. Regardless of his high status, Pat maintained his humble nature but also developed a characteristic anger-filled way of conveying comedy that eventually became tied to his persona. Cooper was hilariously titled “Comedian of Outrage” as he would often burst out in anger on the stage and on sets. Pat has also done shows in Broadway’s Palace Theatre and New York Friars Club.
Since the sitcom Seinfeld was the talk of the town in the 1990s, Cooper was called to play a short part on the show, and the episode he starred in was titled “The Friar’s Club.” Although he has performed in many places, Pat’s best moments in the later years were seen on The Howard Stern Show, on which he was supposedly an open-invitation guest, owing to his closeness with Howard Stern.
