On May 4, it was disclosed that P1Harmony member Jiung had incurred an injury, rendering him unable to partake in the group’s tour. The injury was specified as a thigh muscle tear, necessitating a minimum of three weeks of rest and medical care.
FNC Entertainment released a statement regarding the incident:
“Hello. This is FNC Entertainment. We would like to thank our fans for their continued love and support for P1Harmony. We will inform you about Jiung’s activities.
Jiung felt discomfort in his thigh during his performance at the 2024 P1Harmony LIVE TOUR [P1ustage H] UTOP1A IN SEOUL and visited a hospital the next day for a thorough examination, where he was diagnosed with a ruptured thigh muscle that will require treatment for approximately three weeks.
Following the medical team’s opinion that he needed to rest, it was decided that his upcoming schedule would be canceled and that he would stay in the hospital to focus on his recovery.
As a result, it is expected that Jiung will be unable to participate in some cities of KCON JAPAN 2024 and the 2024 P1Harmony LIVE TOUR [P1ustage H] UTOP1A Americas Tour. P1Harmony will continue activities as a five-member unit for the time being.
We will announce the resuming of activities at a later date.
We apologize to all of our fans for the inconvenience this sudden news has caused, and we will do our best to ensure Jiung’s speedy recovery and stability.
Thank you.”
This unfortunate news emerges at the outset of the US leg of P1Harmony’s “UTOP1A” tour. As the tour progresses into June, the prospect of Jiung’s return to stage remains uncertain.
