Later in the chapter, we see Shin saying that he fell to the depths, was saved by the lords, and now he trains under the lord. Having experienced treachery and hit rock bottom, only he can truly understand him. He reveals that he is surely forging him into a sword of the lord.
Later in the chapter, we see Hurent walking through the farm and wondering when the barren Altes mountains become filled with fields and fruit tree saplings. He recalls what Piero said that supported only about 500 farmers and wonders if he single-handedly increased the workforce to achieve this.
Hurent finds it really impressive and believes that the legendary farming skills of Piero are truly amazing. However, at the same time, he finds out that there are many kids in the farmer and wonders if he has used them for forming. He believes that no matter how obsessed he is with farming, the use of kids for farming is too much.
