Ryuuto and Runa went to watch the fireworks in the previous episode. Viewers are excited to watch Ryuuto and Runa’s survival game in Our Dating Story Episode 8.
Ryuuto and Runa were working at Lunamarine during the summer, while Ryuuto was studying during his breaks. Some popular boys approached Runa and started pestering her with questions.
Ryuuto was not sure what he should do about it since Mao was out getting supplies for the store. Ryuuto thought those guys were scary, and so he did not want to deal with them.
But he decided to help Runa anyway; he asked the guys if they wanted a locker or a meal. The guys were very surprised since they thought Ryuuto was a customer.
They decided to leave afterwards when they asked Runa who she would pick between Ryuuto and them. Runa told them she would always pick Ryuuto because he was her boyfriend.
The guys were in shock because they did not know Runa was dating Ryuuto. After they left, Runa told Ryuuto she hated those kinds of guys who always tried to talk to her.
Ryuuto apologized to Runa for not helping her sooner. Runa told him she was glad that he was there. Runa was impressed by Ryuuto because he was studying every day, even though they were at the beach.
Ryuuto informed her that when his parents packed his bag, they also packed all of his school homework’s too. Runa told him that she believed that he would get into a good college.
Ryuuto told her he was not even close to that. Runa told him Nicole was planning to go to a manicure school after graduation to get certified.

Nicole’s mother was a single mother so she could not rely on her parents to provide her money. That’s why she was working all the time to save up money for tuitions.
Ryuuto did not know that. Runa mentioned that Akari also wanted to go to a fashion school. Runa was feeling insecure because everyone had figured out what they wanted to do.
Ryuuto asked her what she was planning to do after graduation, and Runa told him she was burned out. Because she had already achieved the goal she had set for her high school years.
Ryuuto asked Runa about her goal, and Runa told him her goal was to develop mutual feelings with someone she could stay with forever.
Runa mentioned that she was looking for a place to settle down. Runa mentioned that her biggest dream was to live with her parents and Maria like before. But if that did not work, she wanted to build her own family.
Runa wanted to be a mother, have lots of kids, and have a husband who would truly fall in love with her. Ryuuto realized that Runa had thought a lot more about the future than he had.
Even about her future with Ryuuto, so he decided to study harder for his college exams. Runa informed Grandma that they had run out of potatoes, even though she knew they had some before.
Grandma reminded her that she made some croquettes for her a few days ago. Grandma told her they still had plenty of sweet potatoes, but Runa told her that was not going to work. Runa informed Grandma that she was planning to make meat and potatoes.
