Oti Mabuse, 33, and Marius Iepure, 40, had welcomed their first child, a girl. The former Strictly Come Dancing star took over her Instagram account to share the overwhelming news, which made their Christmas more joyful. Oti had shared a sweet snap of the couple wearing matching Christmas pajamas, and Oti had her newborn wrapped around her arms with a Christmas tree in the background.
This Christmas actually got “Merry Christmas” for the couple after a lot of effort and waiting until they were able to have a child. Oti wished her followers by captioning the picture, “Merry Christmas. Wishing you all a wonderful festive season and special memories with loved ones.”
Oti Mabuse and Marius Iepure welcomed their first child, ‘A GIRL.’
Iepure had proposed to Mabuse in 2014, and later that year, the couple got married. Oti had unveiled her pregnancy news live on “Oti Mabuse’s Breakfast Show” on iTV last month. While hugging her husband, she said they had been holding on to some good news, and they revealed their happiness to the audience.
Oti had said, “Speaking of things that you didn’t know at home, we have a little something for all of you; we’ve been holding some good news. We’re having a baby!” with a wide smile on her face. When she announced this news, her beautiful journey was close to nearly getting over, as it was the last month of her pregnancy. The dancer, with excitement and joy, said, “Christmas is about to get even louder.”
After Oti announced the arrival of her first child through her recent post on Christmas with her baby wrapped around her arms and her husband standing beside her along with their dog, the couple received a series of wishes and love from her friends, family, and fans.
Oti’s sister, Moti Mabuse, the judge of Strictly, congratulated the couple on the arrival of her niece or nephew under Oti’s post. The same picture was also shared by Motsi on her Instagram story; she had tagged her sister and brother-in-law and wrote, “Congratulations, Merry Christmas.”.
Motsi also posted another picture holding the baby along with her husband with the caption that says, “Merry Christmas, call us Auntie & Uncle!! Welcome to the family, baby girl.” Further, she has tagged Oti and Iepure and wrote, “Welcome to parenthood, lol it’s going to be fun.” This post was also a revelation of the baby’s gender.
Strictly’s friends and extended family also congratulated the couple. Katherine Rayn, the comedian, had also commented on the post, saying, “HELLO WELCOME BABY,’ following Glitterball champion Ellie Leach’s comment, “Congratulations!!!!!!!!” The couple was also congratulated by the professional Dianne Buswell, who wrote, “Congratulations, beautiful.”
James Jordan, the former Strictly star, had commented, “What a perfect Christmas for all of you—sending love from Jordan’s,” and Jowita Przytal said, “Yayayayys!!!! Congratulations.”
In the month of August, it was clear that the couple was expecting their first child through a post-Oti posted on her Instagram with the caption, “Our ‘yes’ year is getting better and better, and so is our little family. We are finally ready and excited to share our wonderful news. This is new for us, scarier than swimming with sharks, jumping off cliffs, or even swinging from bridges, but the best news we could have ever asked for.”
The “Dancing on Ice” judge announced her pregnancy to her family through a video call. The clips of the same calls were shared by Oti, in which her older sister Motsi, the judge of Strictly, and her other sibling Phemelo were spotted. The family was trying to hold their emotions but ended up jumping up and down with delight and tears.
The two trimesters were super challenging for the couple; therefore, they kept it hidden until they crossed those crucial days. Oti shared that during her pregnancy, she had been different. There was no lack of confidence in her; instead, it made her feel sexy. When Oti got pregnant, it was already a while before they stopped doing anything, as it was getting too much.
Oti shared that she’s been dealing with a condition called Symphysis Pubis Dysfunction (SPD). This condition leads to the stiffness of the pelvic joints caused by pregnancy. SPD isn’t effective on the unborn child, but it could be painful for the mother who’s expecting. After fighting all the obstacles, she was finally able to conceive and have a child.
