Hand Punch to Bring the Dark Fantasy Epic to Life
As stated, the artwork for the Elden Ring manga will be provided by artist Hand Punch. They previously made their debut under publisher Kadokawa with their Emotions Evolution series.
Hand Punch, consisting of twin brothers who co-author all their works, also won gold in the Simplified Chinese category and silver for Translation and Publication at The 1st TATESC COMICS Global Awards.
Regarding the opportunity to adapt Elden Ring, Hand Punch commented that they feel both honored but also significant responsibility and pressure in bringing the acclaimed game to life as a comic.
They stated that Elden Ring is more than just a game, it is art itself.
While pouring passion into the creation process, Hand Punch noted they faced numerous challenges in adapting such a grand work.
However, they believe that just as the game teaches, light and triumph will shine through no matter the adversity faced along the journey.
They aim to channel that spirit from Elden Ring into the manga as they render the rich world for readers to explore.
According to the press release, the Elden Ring manga will be available in three different mediums: TATESC COMICs, book comics, and an e-book format.
It stated that the artwork for all three will be drawn specifically by the manga artist Hand Punch, meaning fans should expect similar if not identical artwork across the mediums.
The tale chronicles the quest of a Tarnished warrior who, with divine favor, enters the Lands Between on a mission to ascend as the successor Elden Lord.
This fighter crosses paths with an array of intriguing personalities, delves into various underground lairs and structures, and wages battle against formidable adversarial champions.
Through a series of events and undertakings, our protagonist pursues the goal of claiming the title of Elden Lord over these realms.
