Only Hope Chapter 45 will be the latest installment to the Romance-Drama-Regression Manhwa. The story follows the life of Eun-Hye and her husband, Doo-Jin. They have long been married, and Eun-Hye’s parents are not on board with her decision.
One of the key points they were against their union was the fact that Doo-Jin was an Orphan. Which is quite irritating as how can one blame the child for being an orphan?
Eun-Hye believed her husband was the most perfect man in the world. However, all that changed when she accidentally stumbled into their basement.
She had no reason to go there as she just assumed it was just a regular storage area. She comes to find out that the basement has another, more sinister use. She sees an open laptop in the room and snoops through it. What she saw made her question her entire life.
It was a video of a person, Moon Geong-Hwan, being tied to a chair and being interrogated. The person who is doing the interrogating does not appear in the footage.
As the video progresses, we see Geong-Hwan trying to reason with his captor, saying how he will help him kill someone by the name of Kim In-Cheol and generally pleading for his life. His captor is revealed to be unphased by his pleas and continues to do what he is doing.
The video ends with Geong-Hwan being set on fire and dying a painful death. We do not know what he did to deserve such a gruesome ending. Before Eun-Hye had any time to digest what she just witnessed, she saw something more shocking.
She saw Doo-Jin. He was the interrogator all this time. Eun-Hye is unable to do this. The Doo-Jin she knows hasn’t even hurt a single fly his entire life. Did he always have such darkness inside him?
But before Eun-Hye could get to the bottom of things, she was murdered. She was at her home alone, contemplating how to even bring this up with Doo-Jin. As she was coming up with a plan of action, she was attacked by a hooded figure who was hiding his face.
Furthermore, her house was set ablaze, preventing her from escaping. The intruder slices her neck, preventing her from screaming. She dies as she asks who he is.
As Eun-Hye is falling over, we see her necklace glowing unnaturally. The next thing you know Eun-Hye woke up in the middle of a pathway. She assumed it was a dream, but it felt too real. She soon realized that she had regressed in time on the day of her Mother’s Funeral.
The day Eun-Hye met Doo-Jin for the first time. She starts investigating Doo-Jin to see if he is the killer after all. But finds nothing of the sort. Still not convinced, she starts following him.

Lee Sang-Do was found dead in his room, hanging from the ceiling. Though it looks like suicide, we know that it’s not. Ha-Na, along with Tae Su, was summoned to the Police Station to collect information.
Ha-Na does a good job acting as if she had nothing to do with it. Furthermore, she was able to turn the investigation toward Sang-Do’s son. She told the detectives how she heard Sang-Do saying he would kill his son and so on.
The detectives thank her for her time and the leave. After this Ha-Na and Tae-Su have a conversation where Tae-Su reiterates that she must leave her paws off of Eun-Hye as she is Tae-Su’s only surviving family.
Ha-Na reassured him that as long as he remained with her, nothing would happen to Eun-Hye. Tae-Su found her reply extremely disturbing and left. Ha-Na remembers how Tae-Su was in the past and seems nostalgic.
The scene then shifts to Doo-Jin and Eun-Hye, who are on their way to Hyun-Seo’s funeral. Eun-Hye is in distress as it’s that time of the month for her. Even though she took her meds, she still felt pain and nausea. Before heading to the funeral, Eun-Hye goes to the restroom to try and get a handle on things.
We see Doo-Jin outside, looking very concerned. As she was exiting the washroom, she bumped into Tae-Su. Tae-Su notices that she does not have her mother’s necklace on and asks her what happen to it in a panic.
Only Hope Chapter 45 Spoilers & Predictions
Looks like Tae-Su knows about the importance of her Eun-Hye necklace. We know that the necklace was what caused her regression in the first place. She must have misplaced it back at the vacation home. Still, the reaction Tae-Su had to it was a little too extreme.
Is there perhaps something he is not telling Eun-Hye? Furthermore, Eun-Hye seems to be having some health issues. Could it be released for the missing necklace as well? Hopefully, the next chapters will shed some light on all these matters.
